Title: Harmonic balancer removal

Trying to get old one off. Tried every thing with the puller just will not come. Whats the trick ?

just kidding, do you have a flat end on the puller so it doesnt screw the threads ups? spray a little juice and hit it hard and long with an impact

You mean theres a bolt in it    ==doh  LOL  Yes got flat end been hitting it with impact for a lot nothing happening re ajusted a lot of times an hit some more with impact. ==dunno

Been hitting it gave up for a day come back hit on it. It will not come. Just went out an sprayed it with rust buster let that sit for while ==dunno Will try what your saying trent next trip out there. Did it lots of times like that but next time might be the time.

Loose the POS puller get an American made one...

It could be that it is a cheap puller set. This could be get what you pay for I don't know they all look the same. Willing to try about any thing pretty soon.

use a hammer and hit the balancer while you are using the impact on the puller...   i've done that quite a few times with some stubborn pitman arms!!!    maybe if you can put a little bit of heat to the balancer, prolly end up cooking the rubber damper tho...

Got it off !!!!  Dry puller was the problem LOL After pulling puller apart an putting grease between the flat hub an threaded rod on puller . Took a very large punch an hammered right up close too puller.Let impact gun hit hard for little bit. Hit it few more times with punch an hammer. Impact gun and it started to come  ==wrenchinbanana

Yup, smackin it usually helps quite a bit!    when in doubt hit it harder!   loll
