couldn't have said it any better myself
well thats what happens when you dont have taxes taken out. Like self employed or sub contractors have to set aside cash threw out the year to pay the gov back what you didnt have taken in taxes. sucks but just set a little aside each week and come next tax year your golden. Ive been in that boat a few times threw out the years.
We are getting back about $9000 this year...got to love having kids ;D

ooo ooo buy me something! loll
I have to pay in this year too........not much but I still hate doing it
I paid in way over 10,000 in fed and all I have is my house for deductions....I'm lubing up now so it's not a surprised. I have a kid but he lives with his mother. I wish my child support was deductable.
I'd much rather make the kind of money I make than qualify for income credits. Its ridiculous these people pay in 2000 or less and get four times that back.
i`ve payed in over 20,000 and still owe wtf! ==censor ==censor ==pissed

well damn then I need to get me a few of those.
Cuz i could be building a new truck instead of selling the one I got:(
The more money ya make, the more ya pay. the nicer the house, the more taxes ya pay. taxes are a pain, but its better than the alternative... you could always move to a shiity 3rd world country where theres no taxes... but no police either...
I loved being contract.. never understood why people pay in their taxes right out of their paycheck (too much by the way, thats where your return comes from)
then bytch about the gov't spending too much (hell.. you gave it to them!) lil' hypocritical don't ya think ???
and then you have to fight to get back what they owe you to begin with... ==doh ==doh
no interest paid (bet you would'nt let you bank get away without paying some interest on your savings account)
have to pay someone else to fill out the paperwork,
must be submitted by a certain date or you get penalized (remember.. it's your money),
and then have to worry about "the man" showing up at your door to take it back because you
forgot to cross a T or dot an I...
Really?! screw that..
I'll keep my money.. use it when and for what I dam well please and
pay that SOB what he has due..
Tell you what, send ME your money..and I'll give back whats left at the end of the year when I'm done with it, I promise. ;D
who invited this guy? Hahah just kiddin man. No I understand what your saying and all, myissue was under estimate how much I made by a long shot so I ended up not saving enough cash, rookie error, I'll be better prepared next year. But other then that I really do enjoy contract work, just sucks the situation I got myself in.

nope if you dont have w2`s for it you can get copies from irs office and file off of those, you can legally go 3 yrs. without filing but if you owe you`ll be penalized.
if they owe you you just get back whats owed to you no penalty!
been there done that but i waited 7yrs and had to pay some hefty fines and interest at 30% really sucked!
wont do that again
kinda funny you have to file if you owe, but when they owe you and you dont file, they dont mail you a check for whats owed...
