Title: procomp heads?

i was lookin around on ebay and found a set of procomp heads... i thought procomp only made ingnitions? anybody have any luck with them or know anything about them?

Other than they suck not really, they are  inconsistent from the factory in China
If they are bare & your going to port them worth 300 or so.

built 406 with 210 pro comps it still runs good 2 yrs later .most of the complaints ive heard come from ford guys ??? that company pretty much sells anything automotive but like old saying goes get what ya pay for ;D

Yep Sniiffin Pro Comp Threads out 1 at a time id don't matter if it is a Cheby

and thats what scares me... i have a freind that bought their full ignition system and at the end of the season it was fried...

I meant no disrespect to anyone or brand just dont know anyone runs ford that likes this brand head. point of fact only people I know that like them are on sbc  imo if ya got enough $ for these save another 300-400 get darts afr brodix [insert your fav brand here]

a friend of mine has a set of AFD heads for a 351 and the numbers they claim are quite staggering,
we will hopefully find out the facts this summer.

afrs are the best head you can buy, imo. BUT $1500 for a brand new set, cnc'd ports, bolt on HP!!

Terry rosebush in bay city has dart heads for 400 a pair bare castings. Look him up on eBay

Yep I used AFR 210 heads on my Trans Am...no cheap parts used when I built that!

Best budget heads would probably be Vortec's right from GM Performance Parts.

I would shy away from China made Ebay what a great deal heads ==roll

You can get these Patriot Performance Vortec heads with 2.02 valves assembled for $695 a pair or you can get a set of 1.94 Vortecs for $320 a pair from jegs.

trickflow makes good heads for sbc too, edelbrock, holley, baseically if it's a name that you hear and know of, and has been around for a while mor ethan likely there's a reason their still around, your best bet is afr, even if  ya have to wait a bit to get em, otherwise i'd got for trickflow or edelbrock
