Title: dana 60 rear spindle boring

What?s the best or cheapest way to bore a rear 60 for 35 spline shafts?

He's right.
I found a machine shop here in Lapeer that has a Lathe big enough to turn whole axle.
It was a few years back, gave the guy a hundo, thought it was good price.
Can drive by and get nameif you need.

The tool to bore it yourself costs over$ 650

Made my own tool for$ 30....worked awesome!

Took about a hour going slow

or charge people to do theirs. i broke both dana 60 rear shafts and a front in 1 day... id pay to get upgraded to 70 shafts. just gotta get different spiders?

why not just get d70 use it?  i have used die grinder to make shafts to fit.

ever looked up a price for 6.17 gears for a dana 70? they cost like $460... lolol plus $100-200 just for the axle itself... id rather pay $100 to get my 60 bored out...

what needs to be bored out to make the 70 shafts work?  what else is needed besides axleshafts and spider gears?
