Whats the worst damage you've done to your stuck 4x4?
nothing major, broken ball joints, dangling super swamper. brought it to the mounds on a trailer, so i laughed, went home, ate turkey.
broke all axle shafts . front and rear the rear were molly
long day had two rigs at a feild bogg broke front shaft then broke 1 rear shaft so only had a 1 wheel peeler got hung reving and r to d back and forth over heated the motor and started knocking,
had the other out and broke the rear shaft , then running on the front end got stuck then blew that the front drive shaft so we pulled it out then waited about 20 min had about 6=7 guys to push onto trailer and as soon as we touched it the tire fell off broken ball joint brake line and axel shaft all in 1 day.
lost rear drive shaft and broke both front axle shaft at same time trying to rock out from a deep spot. my freind who pulled me out 2 miles out in the woods blew a rod pulling me out but we made it back to his house.:(
water pumps seem to be my weak point lol
as we were boggin through some pretty deep p00...the kid riding with me said "ford sucks" and the dam rear tire come flying off it lol

i smoked my clutch and blew both hubs on my old 1996 ranger at silver lake sand dunes when i got stuck.Had to have it towed back to fenton...
When i was about 21 I swamped my DD 2001 4x4 Sonoma, towed it to my buddies house, the K&N cone filter looked like a pancake because it collapsed when the water hit it. I pulled the plugs rolled the engine over and water poured out of all 6 cylinders. Dried it out, changed the oil started it up, and almost 2 gallons of water came out of the tailpipe. 3 more oil changes before the oil stopped turning into chocolate milk after 5 minutes. Drove home and it wouldn't shift out of 1st until 50 mph. Took it in to the dealer, Throttle positioning sensor was fried, and I blew the rear main seal on the block and the front main on the trans. The truck was all cleaned up so they didn't say anything about wheeling it and covered it all under warranty, but the bill was over 3K...the truck only had 23,000 miles on it. oops Dumb kids anyways...
because of hummer hole I ripped my rear trailer hitch right off the frame, broke there rear frame section that was mounted to the trailer hitch, got water in the motor,trans and front axle housing, and bent the front bumper down. It was worth it though. None of my friends to this day have even come close to getting as stuck as I was. It took herb, 2 trucks, and that winch herb had in the back of his truck 1/2 an hour to get me out.
you should have seen the hummer the hole got its name from. it was stuck like that too

blew up motor in thumper and in frankenstein, then Kelly severely overheated her truck, pegged the temp gauge, and lost all power and oil press all in the same day, good thing it was at the end of the bogg

i never broke anything but i sank the truck to the frame in the mud and it took 2 tractors to get me out. another time i had hit a hidden edge in 2wd and bent a steering knuckle... couldnt go more than 15mph without the tires squeeling up a storm from bein pigeon toed ==doh

cought on fire and burnt up all vac lines
blew both lockouts, got water in the motor, blew the front driveshaft, and blew teh bead on the rear tire
a=f not to much here ,,but cindy kay broke the frame on the blazer ,,couldn't fix it ==rant a=f
tore the rear end out of our 86 blazer pullin out an old bronco
well it wasnt a 4x4 but me and my buddy were flyin down some state land trails during late winter and we nailed this hole that was half water half ice in my 95 2wd f150 with twin i beam front suspension and we stopped dead in our trucks on this root sticking out of the ground. it twisted my I beam around and my radius arm right into a pretzel when i got pulled out the wheel turned itself in reverse so i knew something was f**ked up good. but i still drove it for a few days like that like an idiot
Driving Across Some Ice In A Shallow Hole Decided I Had To Be Hot Stuff And Nail The Gas...Broke Through The Ice And Smoked A Front Axle U-Joint...Winched Out And Drive Her Home....Sissy Stock Half Ton Axles Didnt Like The 4.56's 36's And Lockers loll
And The Ol "Bogger Ram" Got A Nice Imprint Of My Knuckles After I Smoked The 5th Rear Drive Shaft....It Gets Old After A While loll Thats What I Get For Dropping The Clutch So Hard To Show Off

went out to the mounds a few years ago in a 97 grand cherokee. we were splashing around in the water puddles along the trails, so everything was good untill we game up to this last hole, well my mom was rideing and said lets do it, me and my buddy was looking at it and saying in the back of our minds lets not do it but the fun got the better of us and this is what happend;

so a long story short it sucked up water into the trans through the wonderful placement of the vent hole.
and this is how it made it home;

but fun day at the mounds none the less.
broken transfer case input shafts, broken transmission cases in half rachet straps drove it to the trailer, twisted pinions off instead of u-joints breaking i just blame it on inferior parts its not the driver.
It's always inferior parts not the driver! ==doh They always seem to break right when u think your in the clear ;D ++peace
pulled the bolts throgh the frame on the gear box other then just starters nothing major yet
big dog wins holy crap! Worst i've broke is my big block as far as money wise. My frame is bent due to hitting the holes too hard and every way but the right way. too much broke crap to list! start at the front of a chevy and go to the back and that's what i've broke.
the picture doesnt show the damage but put the truck her side while bein pulled out, then when we rerited the truck we bent the 4 link bar, it was the only place to put the strap
I sank my brand new Colorado (hence my name) in Turkey day. Had water past my feet. Fried the BCM, trans module and another computer. Went home on a flatbed. Sat at the dealer drying out for a week. $1600 in damage. First day at the Mounds. ==doh
came across a ditch sideways and the frame horns hit and shifted the whole cab so bad the doors would not open, countless starters , 2 motors one sucked water and the other was 4 low low 1 pedal on the floor till it dead and locked up and one frount u-joint all of these on seperate occassions
well i just broke a driver side motor mount while in the dunes and it broke the power stering pump and let the motor in my camo bronco tilt about 2" lower on the driver side.All this and im 3 1/2 hours from home...

hahaha im in the same boat. i sank my lifted xj. locked the engine,put the rod threw the block. then in the process of unstucking in ripped the rear axle right out on a rock....grrrrrrrrrrr that hole sucks ass lol
Stuck in the huge ditch in Crump between the Silver derby bar and the gas station dead center the middle of town, 76 Blazer on 44s trans split a return cooler line, hosed the header and poof flames.
I had an open 2" cowl hood so I could see the fire under the hood, Hail Mary moment I knew if I stayed in the ditch she was gonna burn and if I could somehow launch out of said ditch Rocket Js kitty corner from the me, had a water hose on the side of the building.
So I red lined the tack dropped first gear and made for the edge of the culvert, I wasn't stuck in the mud it was the grass and hawgs just kept sliding around the V of the ditch so I figured shooting up the side of the culvert would land me in front of Rocket Js and it did on my side, on fire in the middle of Garfield road.
Seems as I came out of the ditch at 8000 grand I shredded the left rear tire on the concrete/steel of said culvert and laid her on the drivers side flaming out the wheel well
Got the fire out in time to save a major incident but the truck body was a loss, still get p00 about it till this day and that was 15 years ago
