Title: fuel gauge

my fuel gauge reads past full all the time.I was told it had a bad ground.How do i find this?How would i fix i?It is on my 1990 bronco thanks for any help Dan

Sounds more like the wire that goes to your sending unit in the tank is shorted out to ground. I would trace the wire from the tank, it mite have a bare spot in it and be touching the frame.

i fixed the fuel gage today.It turned out to be a broken wire were they spiced in to make the harness longer there were 5 wires that i had to fix..
