well the rear springs on your 89 are 62-63" long and your front springs on your 85 are only 52-54" long..... may have a hard time gettin um to fit... plus rear springs are usually sprung lighter cause they dont have to hold up the engine and stuff.

You can put 1 shorter leaf positive arch if you have 1 in your spring pack from the 2wd in there, no big deal.. We used to do it all the time.. It get ya a couple inches, maybe. Get a new spring pack bolt and draw it up with it still on the truck. Wrap some chain around it if its worryin ya. Take your time and go easy, youll be fine. Itll be kinda stiff, some folks dont like the ride. If youre not sure what youre doin, get help before you start. Springs develop an incredible amount of force in a very small area. They have no eyeballs and no conscience. They can and will kill you.  ==wrenchinbanana

Your stock fronts are like 46" eye to eye. Get some 52" eye to eye rears from the back of a 87 or older chevy you should net 2-4" depending on spring. As stated I can get you some brand new springs for around 300. If you want anything cheaper get ahold of me I have some blue prints to build drop front hangers to net you around 4". I can build them for around 150 or less

we rearched a set of 94 rear springs with a 20 ton press and put them in the front of a k5, lifted it about 8-10 inches.
sumthing my brother in law thought up...... was a mutha to line up the bolts..
