i'm thinking of welding up my rear end but i'm not sure if i should. how bad dose this hurt your on road drivability? i have to drive my truck as a daily driver sometimes and dont want to be fishtailing all the time. ;D the truck is a 94 GMC 1500 with 10" lift running 35" or 39" tires. it would only be until fall when i plan on putting in dana 60 front and rear
Don't weld it and drive it on the road...............
not good on road . why a 60 rear ? not a good rear axle unless you do the work to it .
it might change if i have the money but i got the 60 for free
I got my 14ff rear for 125 bux.....
You REALLY dont wanna weld up the diff if youre gonna ever be on the pavement! ;D

Yup it puts alot of stress on it while on the pavement and will fight you every time u wanna turn! I would not weld it.
the rear spiders on my 12 bolt were welded man, only had to see a lil pavement to ge to the gas station and the trails, ate the tires up real fast
a buddy just blew the spiders out in his welded rear end not a good idea if daily driving it eats tires and parts.
well mine isnt welled it's spooled and in tight turning it skitter's the tire's every time no fail, on uneven road's it pulls one way or another it sucks in the rain i cant tun and accelerate with out sliding side ways.........but on a straight clean dry stretch of ashphalt it is amazing. but i would rather have a detroit style locker so i can turn.....
mines in an 85 monte carlo ss though
