Title: learning curve
Post by: 390JOE on March 17, 2011, 04:25:58 AM
Well those of you that are my facebook friends already know, but for the rest here's what happened.  Well last week I broke my wrist, and boy did I do it good.  Where I broke it is right where the radius and ulna meet the hand, it broke in three pieces (two in one bone, and a little piece on the other) the one that broke in two pieces broke like a split log.  So on monday I found out that I'm going to need a small plate put in to bring the worst break back together again and so that it heals the right way. So on friday I go to the operating room to have that done. So wish me luck on friday.  Now back to the title of this post. I am a right handed person so just about everything I do I got to try and do with my left. Plus I don't have very good movement on my right fingers so I gotta keep asking a buddy that crashes on my floor to help with like cooking and stuff (but bathing I'm on my own).  So there's what has happened to me. I will keep you up to date about friday.

It happened at work and it happened real fast. All I know is that the tarp I was pulling ripped and I went backwards and down I went.

Well everything went good.  And now I'm home.  It was really weird because just before I went under I was talking to the doc, and then the next thing I remember was wakeing up in recovery.  I would like to thank everybody for their well wishes, but I still have a lot more ahead of me in terms of healing.

How is it going? It can be tough but you'll be a lot more mobile and probably have better range of motion than if you hadn't gone...
