any1 ever built like a play toy/ dd out of one of these?

thought itd be cool.

did some of them come 4wd or no

no 4wd's i had one for a while, got it as a wiring mess, had to re wire the whole thing. Had 31'' baja claws on it took it to the mounds, it got around pretty good.  that had the 1757cc ?? kit was a ripper ;D

near here there is one on a 4x4 frame and v8 kinda cool look on you tube under moyie and you should find somthing, stock there duning freaks

I had a bug body on a ford falcon chassis with a 289, it was pretty cool. Had to make a subframe, it was a little bit floppy - kept comin apart so eventually scrapped it..

go with a fiberglass tub, exact same thing as a beetle but 800 lbs lighter. mine will go anywhere a truck on 35s will go all day long

there light, cheap, easy to work on, simple man, they ran the same platform from 1939 to 1988 when they stopped making them in mexico

seen a whole stack of them out in barnums junkyard and thought itd be pretty cool to make suin for a dd during week then on weekends take it out to play.  truth is itll fit in my garage and ill still have room to move around. i was thinking suin like this or a geo. wat do they get for mpg?

make sure they know its a show bug not a wheeler!!hehehe its one of the baddest bugs around I go everywhere he does when the straps hooked up! lmao

30+ mpg if you have them tuned right, as soon as the weather gets nice ill be driving mine daily!

my sis had one got like 35 to 40mpg but she dint like to drive it becouse the wind blew her allover the road.
