You should know better. Chevys like it rough ==roll call it some names and show it a hammer.
FPR or leaky spider/injectors...common problem.

i was gonna say fuel pressure regulator as well.. theyre cheap and would be an easy thing to start with!
I don't call 45 bucks cheap lol
my 97 jimmy does the same thing when its low on gas it all most kills the battery... Sits with a full tank fires right up......

Had a similiar issue with a Jimmy. Pump takes a minute while cranking to build back up the 60+lbs of pressure to fire it so it takes a while to start it. Pressure regulator or like in my case a cracked feed line going to the injector under the upper intake plenum are my guess.
wel instead of pullin the intake(the last thing i wanted to do) this truck has EATEN caps and rotors for dinner ever since i got it so i thought id replace it since it had been over a year..... fired right up no hesitation.... wtf loll

now you should be asking why your truck is so hungry!?

Was going to sugjest this
If it does it again, try cycling the key off and on several times before you crank it, sounds like it was losin its prime due to a leak such as leakin injector, pinhole in the line, etc ;D
