NOW ALOT OF US RUN BOWTIES AND MANY OF THEM ARE SHORT BOXES NOW MY 77 TRUCK HAS A SHORT BOX AND NEW FENDERS AND DOORS SO FROM THE CAB FORWARD ITS GREAT BUT THE BOX ON THE OTHERHAND BRINGS THE WHOLE TRUCK DOWN EVEN AFTER A GOOD OL TRACTOR PAINT PAINT JOB LESS THAN 2 YEARS AGO THE BOX IS JUST FALLN APART AND BOXSIDES ARE LIKE $300.00 A SIDE BUT WHAT GOOD DOES THAT DO WHEN THE CROSSMEMBERS ARE ANGLE IRON CUS THERE ALL GONE SO SOUTHERN TRUCK IN IMLAY CITY WANTS LIKE $1200.00 NOW FOR SOME THAT MIGHT BE IN THE BUDGET BUT NOT FOR ME.. AND A FRIEND OF MINE DRIVES A 70'S FORD HE CANT EVEN FIND REPRO BOXSIDES. SO WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK OPTIONS , IDEAS? AND NO FLATBED IS NOT AN OPTION... ==idk ==please ==rtt ==thanks
Is your truck long or short bed? I have a very nice short box in my storage box, just needs light body work and paint. The only thing wrong with it is the bed floor was cut out for tubbed truck, It's been sitting there for 10 years. $500

go looking on craigs list junkyards etc youll find a good deal sooner or later 1200 for a perfect boxis pretty cheap imo
thanks for your help and more is needed im just thinking that mabey some guy out there whos usen a perfictly good short box as a trailer might come to there senses and sell it to be used for what its intended to be and help fix a horrible problem in the truck building world.
