TH350 Shortshaft 2wd trans.  you have to cut 1 1/4" off the tailshaft, then you can use a NP208 or 241 with adapter that came behind a TH350

Dont you have to run the aluminum block also betweeen the adaptor and tranny?

I run a 400 turbo 2wd with a 205 on it, Put the right length output in, is good to go.

Same trans, had a 203 on it, still have 203 and adapter ($200.00, if you want).

You have to completely disassemble the trans to change the output shaft which involves some special trans tools. The trans is loaded from back to front, and the output shaft is the very first thing that goes in when buildin it. WARNING! There are some things in there that are spring-loaded and have snap rings holdin them back and if you dont know what youre doin you can get hurt real bad. Best to let a real trans guy do this stuff.

If you do the turbo 350 I have the adapter spacer and crossmember and a 241 case for 200 if you needed. Mine was a 2wheel drive short shaft trans with the tail shaft cut down. I believe the problem your gonna have with the 400 will be spline count. The aluminiums are less.
