Title: allergic to bees
Post by: mudboggTshirts on April 11, 2011, 05:07:40 PM
I have bad reactions to bees...I got stung two days ago...I swell up , area blisters and burns and itches like crazee and a couple of times I have had a red infection line start heading towards me heart...only been in emergency once with them....but the bees are out already!

anybody else have bad bee reactions?   and doesn't it seem like once you know you have bad reactions you get stung more than any other time in your life?  :(

I have been keeping ice on it and taking meds......and area has blistered but I think the swelling is going down..A bee stung me on the back of my arm while I was sanding my Jeep..The heat is out of it now so I think I am good!  ;D

I do not have this problem, my mother does. She rashes up, gets all swelled around the area, but i have seen several bees out just yesterday.

A couple years ago I went to the doctor for a sore throat that i had for 3 or 4 weeks.  Doc decided to send me to get allergy tested.  Found out I was allergic to EVERYTHING on their list!  I never had a clue. Everything from dust and molds, to dogs and cats.   I have been stung a couple times, with no problems, so far.   Doctor makes me carry an EPI pen, just in case.

My g-f is allergic.   her tongue swells up.. throat closes up and she swells up like a balloon.   have a epi pen in every ride we have,  plus she carrys liquid benadryl in her purse.   the liquid works a lot quicker than a pill.

she was never allergic to stings until she was stung by a ball faced hornet

When I was younger, I used to be really allergic to bees. But as I got older, my reactions haven't been as bad. My throat never closed up or anything but I got stung on my foot and it swelled up like a bowling ball. I haven't been stung in a long time and **knock on wood** hope i don't ever again! Even tho thats wishful thinking.
