started 150 years ago today. anyone have any family that fought in it ???

I wouldn't even know how to find out.....but I sure love my rebel flag!
had several fight, a great great great grandfather came to the US just to fight in the war, was wounded 3 times in one day at Gettysburg...
Had family on both sides of the fight.
On my Moms side. They were part of Sherman March. I guess we have some suff that was taken by them but its all under lock and key some were. My grandma knows and wont tell.
All my peaple came from Europe, not sure if we had anybody here at that time, aside from that, I collect civil war items, thinking about joining a re-enactment group out of bay city.
My Great Great Great Granddaddy fought with general Custer i dont remember his regiment or what ever number but ya he fought and i bet there will be another one sometime in our country maybe in my life time!! If any of you guys can ever get to Gettysburg PA Deffinately go.. Its a great place with tons of Memorials and what not.. I been there once and really want to go back!
most of my family didn't come in country till after. as for the civil war items check out the antique fire arms shows. loads of venders selling things they have found from buttons to whole guns.
