Title: retarding ignition for nitrous
Post by: Big Jim on April 27, 2011, 11:59:00 PM
I have a 468 BBC with 12.5:1 compression and a .600 lift cam. My intake has a fogger setup on it. How much should I retard the timing for the 200 horse shot? Can I leave it like that all the time or will it need to be changed if I'm just runnung motor? Should I just buy a timing retard box?

X2 Had the MSD Digital Programmable 6AL-2 on my Trans Am and it is the best money I ever spent, cruise all day with normal timing and drop the hammer with the WOT NOS switch and the MSD box takes care of all your needs...why would you want to run around with retarded timing all the time and use more gas when you can go this way.

They are kind of a pain in the ass to set up, I had my friend set mine up because he knows his p00 when it comes to NOS and MSD boxes.
