Have you had this popup? It looks like a legitimate Microsoft Security Essentials scan but is far from it. It will tell you your computer is infected and suggest you buy a program to remove infection.
Here is the thing...if you get this pop-up and try to close your browser it will have a confirmation pop-up asking if you are sure you want to cancel scan or exit and if you click yes you will be infected with a very unfriendly virus. If you find yourself faced with this situation press ctr, alt, del at same time and close your browser.
If you become infected you will not be able to access anything on the internet, your shortcuts will be disabled as well as your antivirus software. If you load a program such as malwarebytes on a flash drive and are able to remove the infection you will no longer be able to open any programs on your computer do to modified registry settings effecting all exe files, there is a program called exefix_xp that will take care of this however.
The best way to remove this infection is to download a program called combofix on a flash drive and install it on the infected computer, it will take care of everything and repair the registry and exe files. So far it is the only program I know that will not leave your computer all jacked up after removing the infection.
This virus is spreading fast I am seeing it pop-up on a lot of random sites, facebook links, pictures on google, ect. Remember do not click anything on that link, if you see this pop-up, manually close your browser using task manager!
I got it using the bing search bar
