buy low sell high.  you have the right to say no.  id feel stupid paying three hundred for something i could have bought for two.  put firm on the price and people know but if you put obo or make offers you open yourself up to the low ballers  jmo

i do agree, i am also a low baller, but thats all in the market though, with the econ the way that it is, people are now selling parts cheaper to people that actually have the cash, just remember 1) money does talk and 2) you have the right to NOT take an offer and if its offends you i say leave it go at that, ignore the offer if you're not happy with it, just my 2 cents on this topic,  i always try to buy something the cheapest i can, its just the way things are done.

to put it as simple as i can, do you like paying top dollar for something? or would you rather save a few bucks and get a second purchase with the money you saved? the economy is bad and stedially getting worse, everyone needs parts, but they need to save cash for other things too.

people that sell a lot of stuff expect it price stuff accordingly- while everything else in our economy has takin a crap scrap has gone up almost any full size vechile is worth $500 min across scales ,making all those potenial projects in your neighbors back yard disapear which will make everything to do with our hobby go up$$$$$  :(

i would look at the low ballers as a free bump for ya....as u don't have to except there offer. and then u know if u get desperate that u can always at least sell the item. besides i look at the for sale section as swap and shop lol...we all just pass on parts we don't use for the parts we will and it helps keep the whole works working.

I offer what I think something is worth, I don't care if you think your 1990 Chevy 1/2 ton with rusted out rockers and cab corners is worth $2000 it is only worth $1000 and that is what I would offer if I was interested in buying it...a lot of people selling crap have way over inflated prices hoping to get an offer close to what they really want to get for the item so I will low ball every time.

my dad would always start out by asking the person what do you want for this peice of p00.. I asked him why he did that when the things he would look at were clearly not p00 ..he told me  when he did that just the shock of hearing that would make them think what dose he know because alot  of the time when people are trying to sell something they are looking to get something better or they wont alway tell you the truth about whats really wrong with something and that the real reason for selling is it is junk and that why there selling it ....thats where the term putting lipstick on a pig comes in so there's  always room to hagel in my book
