so would i be better getting a 351 for my truck or should i get the 460.It has 456 gears with 38 15.50 16 tires and it is a dog.I want more power. Will a 351 do any better then my 302 i have now.I relly want the 460.But money is very tight and im trading a sled for the motor so i would have to get some cash to buy a trasmission and also i want to rebuild the 460 before i use it.So what would you guys do...

i have a guy on got mudd that will trade my sled for his 351 but he is 1hour and 45 mins away the guy with the 460 is in the flint area.i guys i will have to get some more got mud members input before i get the 460.My wifes bronco has a 351 and it is like driving a mustag compared to driving my big bronco...but she only has 32 11.50 15 with 355 gears and her truck is a lot lighter then mine.My other idea is go with a 351 and got to like a 36" tire to shed some weight.

if u go 460 u will have to change the frame mount to work with the 460  ... which i did when i was restoring my 85'  pretty sure  it s same way with yours  .

Best bet is to go with the 351.  I just swaped a 460 in my truck. Did have a 351w. Its ALOT of work going from sb to bb.  You get a good running sb you'll do just fine
