Title: lt1 problem

got a 94 firebird with the lt1 runs good in cooler weather but when its hot out the fans kick on and it starts running like crap fans turn off starts running better have a new alt. on it and good battery any ideas i was thinking maybe a ground? any help wud b appreciated thanks

sounds like your fan taking to much of the battery power, but could also be a ground issue

temp sensor and temp switch for fans... cheap and easy to do

Try unplugging the power wires to the fan and running a wire from the battery to see if it still acts up.  I wonder if the relay is drawing to much for some reason.  Seems meanial but if the cpu is reading the wrong voltage through the wiring it can cause it to do weird things.

sensors already changed whan i put the motor in i will try unplugging fans which i believe will make it stop. new relay?  when its on a scanner acting up the voltage fluctuates all over.

my car had problems similar to this, just not quite as bad, the voltage regulator in the new alternator was crap out of the box, you can have most car parts shops check it for you if you don't have a reader...
