Title: The addiction
Post by: Plop on June 15, 2011, 09:38:42 PM
Well... I got another Jeep, I couldn't even go a year without it.
Its a 91, 4 banger with a stick; Clutch is gone.

Not too bad on rust and only saw one spot on the frame that is bad. Not sure on if I will just go with a mild lift or if I will go street legal big.

I already have another Jeep lined up for the drivetrain swap/ the 4.0L swap. Just have to rip out my drivetrain and a few other things, a fellow Jeeper offered to trade one of his jeeps/ parts rig for a few of my things I accumulated for my Jeep.

I cant wait to strip this thing, its going all the way down the the bare frame. Clean it up paint it and work on the tub while its off, I am trying to do this Jeep all classy like. And the parts Jeep that Im going to get is mostly a whole Jeep in better condition than mine will be the insane one with a SOA and maybe 4" leafs and a 350 V8 auto with full widths and prolly wont get to touch the pavement.

Thanks.

I have the trans/ t-casse ripped out and managed to slice my finger on it. It has no sharp edges on it and don't know how I did it.

I put a deposit on some 33x13.50 Super Swamper LTB's in almost new condition and I am picking them up Friday. Now I need to pull the motor out and as long as it doesn't rain this weekend it should be done.

I kinda feel like those guys with the donk cars where their rims cost more than their ride. My tires cost more than my Jeep :D

I got the parts Jeep which looks more complete than the project Jeep. It came with out the top, doors, hood, and wheels. I put my parts on there to keep it all protected while I am working on the other one. Its a 6cyl, auto but the auto is going to be for sale because I want to do the AX-15.

Pulled the axles out and seperated the tub from frame. I also put a sunroof in my S10, today was very productive. I think I will have to sit back and have a cold one now.

Cleaned up the frame a couple days ago, and picked up a D35 for cheap with 4.10 gears to match my front axle.

My goal for the weekend is to have the holes patched and coat the frame and hopfully have it rolling around on the axles. My tires are going to swapped onto rims with the right bolt pattern too, my brother is swapping me rims because he has the B.P. that I need and I have what he needs.
