Title: kingpin spring question
Post by: Blazin40s on July 18, 2011, 01:12:14 AM
So bogged the k5 hard yesterday at budget bogger$ bog.  Did great no issues, but when I left nd tried to drive home my front end developed a death wobble.  So I pulled over, pulled off my steering block, and put a couple washers between the spring and spacer block thing.  It helped some, but still wobbles when I hit uneven pavement.  I'm thinking the spring is worn out.  Didn't change them when I did the axles.  Do they have a heavy duty spring??  How much are they??

yup I was just thinking the same thing. Had that happen many times with my old bogger. If you dont lay down and get all the mud out of the rims and front end it will cause that wobble or shaking.

jack it up, see if you can move the tire up and down, like you would when checking ball joints. might need to put some omph into it.
