I'm against it.........................however....
I'd make an exception for using a F250 super duty frame/front 50 axle, swap in a FF14 bolt rear, use a 400 turbo Np241, EFI 350 with a 95-02 Chevy truck body on it.
Im for it 100% use what ya got and run the dog pee out of it ;D
I'm with old school. Don't matter how you arrive at the destination as long as you were there.

I'll probably make fun of your truck if its not a GM, but if you listen for a few you will see Imake just as much fun of mine. I mean I named it the rusted reject for goodness sake! Any truck is better than none!
I am all for it, for example I would stuff a Ford 9" in the rear of a GM muscle car just for the fact that it is a superior axle compared to a 12 bolt and a 14 bolt would look really funny in the back of a Chevelle with 8 lug wheels ==roll

Im curious to see this 442 your talking about. There never was a 442ci motor made. If your talking about the motors offered in the Oldsmobile 442 then you mean the 455. Other then the 455 they mostly came with the 350. (there were others like the 403) but very rare.
run what ya got, variation is a necesity of life, everyone can get to the same destination, but no two people will take the same path to get there

4 barrel
4 speed
2 exhaust pipes
The reason I asked is because I would run some parts but It seems to buy parts ford is more expensive. And i saw a s-10 with a built 460 in it and it made me think... But putting a 350 in a gto or firebird is kinda dumb imo.

Wow you relize the new gto's and firebirds/transams run the ls1/ls2 right? The new gto's are actually like a 362ci or something but still and there all GM cars and motors. So not sure where your going with this.

WRONG! Pontiac made the Ventura for the 74 (or 75) year with only a 350 and a 4 speed. That was Pontiac's way of shrinking there gto down to compete with the nova's and duster's and smaller race cars of the 70's. And yes Pontiac did create the venture by taking the gto and shrinking it down to make this car.
It's all cool and different

ok now your down to 69. you keep changing cars. I just was giving you a little history on cars with your statement on 350's in a firebird and gto, then you get mad, change cars, so I try to inform you on the gto's and now your getting even more mad and changing years again. I get what your saying though. everyone has their likes and dislikes.
A ventura is not a gto. If your gonna change cars why can't he change yrs just saying. When it comes tho classic muscle no I wouldn't cross. Nothing sweeter than factory original in muscle cars.

Hate to tell you but In 74-75 Pontiac didnt know where to go with the gto to compete with the smaller cars so they took the venture and stabbed it with all the goodies they wanted to build that year gto with seeing how they were done building the big gto's.
i think my dad had a 70 or 71 gto with a factory 350 that he beefd up
Still not a gto now is it.
1951 Ford F-100 with an Olds 394 and an Offenhauser 6-pack. Hows that for cross-breeding? And a 1980 Mercury Capri with a SBC 350. Now were back on topic, right? Im all for it. ;D
plain jane...... PEOPLE WILL DO WHAT EVER THEY WANT. But I wouldent.
A dodge is just a shipping container for a CUMMINS ;D
