Hello Everyone,
I have a 2005 Silverado Standard Cab 4x2 4.3L V6 5speed.
I'm getting close to 100k and I'm realizing I really need to replace the shocks/struts. Is this something I could do on my own? I have nothing against putting the truck up on jack stands and taking stuff apart. I do most of my repairs myself but I also figure if it's a difficult job what should I expect to pay at a shop?
I'm also due for tires but I'm trying to hold out for winter.
Thanks for any advice, estimates or tips in advance.
unolt replace and bolt back up
shocks are actually super simple.

On some vehicles...I changes all 4 on my Suburban in 45 minutes. On my wifes Bravada it took over 3 hours.

dont the newer trucks have struts in the front?
Never worked on that body style but my 04 had shocks...still wouldn't be that hard if they have struts
2 bolts per shock impact makes them alot easier soak them in wd40 or pb and youll be set
Just hearing back from the gang here makes me think I may have to attempt it myself.
