Title: chainsaw carb issue?

 ok so i got a chainsaw from dad to use  he says it hasnt run in years  i got it going and i hold it wide open for about 3 seconds and it bogs and dies.... itll sit and idle forever tho... just throttle kills it...

loll got gas in it? does it have new mix in it?

you have three adjustment screws on the carb. one sets the idle speed and the other two are for air/fuel.

Probably a cracked impulse line. That feeds the fuel, at wot it can't supply enough.

If u think it just needs cleaning try spraying wd40 through the carb as it's running it will clean it it works for me every time
