www.grisoft.com  is one of the best antivirus around or you can get a free virsion here

http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1   the only differnce is you dont get the online support from the free virsion

just thought i would drop this in for the people that dont have it


Avast is another free antivirus that works well too and it has automatic updates!

we have mcaffees it is great, saved my butt and computer a few times.

I have been using the grisoft "AVG FREE" for several years now and really love it.  I have had all of the others and AVG FREE is the easiest to use --updates quickly and daily---keeps out all the bad stuff and it is FREE===can't beat it.

norton here its amazing and the support cant be beat but it does cost

I don't use an antivirus.....why? because antivirus software is a virus that is constantly running in your background and conflicts with the operation of programs already installed on your computer. Not saying you shouldn't have one, I just don't and I stay away from sites I don't feel secure with.

we use alot of vitamin c   the only time the computers crashed is when we gave it to it. ==roll


na we use norton.. its expired.. but still catches all the virus that have tryed to attack.

AVG antivirus found at http://www.downloads.com  works pretty good for me...ton's of updates ==np

I've used AVG free since I lost my job. Back when I could afford it I was Norton all the way!

you don't just get them from downloading stuff, every time you open a web page or an email you are downloading info to your computer, and if a site is hijacked or a friend sends you an image or video when he/she has a virus you can get it too, better safe than sorry...
