ive got a 87 dodge half ton that i wanna do a spring lift to. i know beaties springs can arch mine and ad a leaf but whats the maximum i can go before i have to start modifying?
On most trucks, 6 inches. More than that, will require brake lines and drive shaft mods. With any amount of lift, you will need to insure proper steering geometry is maintained.
4-5" on a dodge. then you get in to lifted steering arms, drop pitman arm, brake lines, d shafts, ect. take it from me anything over 4" in a dodge it get to be a pain with the front drive shaft angle.
