Title: 92 Wrangler
Post by: Air Force Fireman on September 24, 2011, 08:31:39 PM
Right now I am driving an 88 XJ. Gonna pull the motor/trans from it and put into this 92 YJ that I just bought. Gotta find a rear axle and steering column for it. I am getting deployed for 6 months--starting this Friday (30 Sep). So pictures and updates won't be for a little while. Excited about this when I get back tho!

Thanks. I have a couple buddies here who are going to install the motor and trans and try to find the axle while I'm gone. That way when I come back it's at least rolling and I can start using it. Then build from there.
My wife and kids will be in Lapeer while I'm gone. We have a 91 suburban that needs the trans rebuilt. Can you guys recommend anyone? It's already pulled. Just need rebuild.

Pulled the old motor (4 cyl) out of this today. They said they didn't know what was wrong with it and that's why they took it to the junk yard. When I pulled the oil pan off a bunch of antifreeze came out as well. Wonder why the engine didn't work anymore!  :P

The trans was already pulled at the junk yard. So I don't know what it had--it was a manual is all that I know.
