i wanna do a rear axle flip heard it gives 5inches of lift in the rear. how hard is it to do and if i crank up my torsion bars will the truck sit level?
not hard to do at all just flip axel up and change ubolts and no the front torsion bars wont raise ya that high ya have to buy a set of after market clock arms to do that
clock arms? never heard of em before is there a way i can put a block between the leaf spring and the bottom plate or would that not work?
clock arms are the torsion arms they wont go high enough and the rear axel you have to set the spring on top of the axel if you leave the spring under the axel and put a block in it it will lower your truck

So if I get both those ill be all good? How do I check the pinion angle is right
u wont be just good ... u will have pinion angle issues. maybe other stuff maybe brake lines and etc small stuff u re forgetting
yes thats just to get the lift that aint all there is to it
lots of little things that bite the ass
ok u guys recommend a shop to do it so its done right?
if ya never done it and not sure ya can do it then yes dont get in over ya head not a good place to be
it s not hard to do ... shop re costly in long run unless u have a deep pocket
right id honestly rather spend more money and have it all done right since i've never done it before esp when it comes to pinion angles etc don't wanna be the guy who thinks he knows it all and it done completely wrong lol
As for rear i wouldnt worry about pinion angle cuz u.can set ur angle before u weld up ur perch to the axle tube but for the front i have no idea i dont deal w ifs
best to do a sas on it....but if u stay ifs, u need to buy a good name lift kit. Id say if u wanna go cheep do a 3inch body lift and you can run 33s. Anything bigger and you will need to buy stock in cv shaft company.
Didn't u just spend tons of money on a ram??? What happened to that truck?
unlimited off road messed up when the put new driveshaft in i kept snapping u joints, never fixed my tray they charged me 6 times for pullin and bolt it back up i paid for 5.13 gears and they put 4.10 gears in it just kept haven to put a p00 ton of money in it just to drive it and it gt to be to much so
Start wheelin and daily driving the blazer and you will encounter the same problems.....leave it stock get some good mud tires and give her hell

second that!
My wifes truck is a bone stock 4door blazer that I syuffed 31 mud tires under. Its a blast trail riding it, it does good and dosnt break.
right im thinking of makin the blazer into a nice lifted daily and buying a old beater and beating the hell out of it and if it breaks i aint gotta worry about not having a vehicle
Honistly about the same price to do a sas on it then to go out and buy a nice lift for it....plan on spending about 1500bux just on the lift. Then you will need new drive shafts and lots of other stuff.....and that price don't include labor. Imo its kinda pointless to lift it just for looks.
I just never understood why people put all this cash into these big beefy truck and just use them as a pavement pounder????? might just be me but whats the point?
RAISE IT FATS CHICKS CANT RIDE LOL
The only way you are going to life an S-10 and never have any major issues with it is to spend the big bucks on a real lift kit. Your going to drop $1000 or more.
Don't waist your time using that flip kit kit in the rear. I have seen and heard horror stories when the Spring perch snaps and axles spins the pinon up and breaks p00. As for the front its alot of work to lift one the right way T-key life just ware the hell out of your tires and and kill ball joints. You plus all the other lift kits that don't drop the front axle are junk and wear out CV shafts, ball joints and hubs.
Best be with an S10/Sonoma/Blazer/Jimmy is to just do a 3 inch body lift and get the gap guards for it
I just put a BDS 4.5'' in my 90' s10 it dropped everything down to stock drive angles in the front end, the rear was just the axle flip, its under the leafs now and everything sits pretty level. BDS is kinda pricey, I got mine used, but the guarantee all their parts for life, no questions asked.
Yes deff go bds. There the best and made in michigan!!
now if i don't do a straight axle and just do a 6inch lift with 3inch body lift will it look pretty tall or
it will easily clear 35s with 11 inch lift. But plan on spending 3 grand on everything with a shop installing a good lift....then u still gott buy tires and rims
3in body lift/tt<(all the way)/shakols/ some trimming should clear 35s ON ZR2s
$100-$400 parts
ALL CAN BE DONE IN THE DRIVE WAY IN 8-24HRS
