i need to change the heater core in my 79 gmc it had ac, how easy are they to change and if anyone gots sum tips. i would greatly apperciate the help!!! chevgal chevgal
If you can get the wheel well out ? Or to get the back to drop down, That will be a big help for the bottom bolts. The rest will not be all that bad.
Cut out the vent and repair with heating duct. Takes about 20min to change that way loll
I'm not sure if AC stuff will be in the way.............but you can get to the heater core from behind the glove box.
You have to remove the glovebox door though.
I DID ONE IN A 96 CADILLAC A COUPLE YEARS AGO. TOOK OUT THE GLOVE BOX, REMOVED A PLASTIC COVER AND THERE IS WAS, PRETTY EASY FOR BEING IN A CADDY. THAT BEING SAID, SHOULD BE REAL SIMPLE BEING A 79 CHEVY.
had to change the one in my 78, only took a lil bit to do,... the longest part was looking for tools i just had a second ago
