going 466 bb ford. got the super cobra jet heads intake and carb on the way. Thinking cause of my young kids the name wet dream wont stick (twin 4 year olds and a 7 and 11 year old) gonna call it MONSTROSITY since it has rockwells, a dodge body, a chevy frame and a ford motor and the name frankenstein has been used too many times lol . gettin a lil done at a time get serious after Christmas will post pics hoping to be in romeo for tgw may 5th  ++peace Got Mud?

lol Yeah ive spent a bunch of money on it! Got a shop full of new parts. My first block and heads i bought sight unseen from a relative,   ==dontwannaseeit was already bored 30 over and was too pitted so was gonna go 80 over but the walls are too thin. would have to sleeve 4 cylinders and its not worth it to me. the heads didnt have the springs or valves in em i was told they did and they wernt factory cj heads. So my 521 build will wait. Ill use the 460 i was gonna drop in my bronco . I sourced a set of interceptor heads and had em checked out. will be getting heads back next week and should have the motor together. will be a stock 460 bottom just refreshed with factory 429 boss rods and je flat tops forged pistons, Otherwise ive just been going through it and cleaning up some things on the frame. Got my plasma cutter and a mig conversion for my wire welder so i can finish fabing the firewall and tunnel and motor mounts. I picked up a divorced 205 tcase, still looking for a c6 2 wheel trans or im gonna convert mine. If the daily driver vehicles finally hold together and quit taking all my weekends the motor and tcase should be done in the next 2 weeks. then i just gotta put the finishing touches on the firewall and tunnel as well as the body and we should be ready for trucks gone wild!

I have a miller and its pretty touchy sometimes. Might just not have a good enough ground or air pressure isn't right. Mine will do the same thing if either one happens.

well i played with air pressure from the recommended 70psi all the way up to 80 psi and down to 40 and everywhere in between. As far as the ground goes i was working on a peice of brand new 1/8 inch steel. Ieven took the grinder and went over the areas i was clamping to as well as where i was trying to cut. i put a new water seperator on my  air compressor as well as the one on the unit itself. I double checked all my connections, tried it in both pilot arc and contact arc. Gonna try it more tonite. i have it wired for 110 might rewire for 220 and see what happens. If theres anything i may have missed please feel free ill take the 2 cents lol ive used plasma cutters before just never owned one. I even wire brushed the consumables to remove any film that may have been on them but with not much change at all

Ordered my uprites from dec couple days ago and the new cam arrived today so i should have all my parts to put motor together this weekend then i can test fit with uprites to be sure new motor mount location is good then ill finally sak up and weld those mounts lol.  i did some work on the rollcage to raise it up it bit. it sat a lil low so i made some blocks and welded on the feet of the cage took it up bought 3in and made a big diffrence otherwise i been welding some brackets in and mocking stuff up for tunnel and such. had some time today so i decided to bust out the powder coat equipment i bought 2 years ago and used 1 time to do a set of valve covers. Stuff turned out nice. the intake i did in cast aluminum with a translucent blue over it. the dampener is painted cast aluminum. i have the pulleys baking now i did them powder coat  mirror black, 1 is pictured. pic dont do mirror black justice at all. Timing cover should be here tomorrow so i can powder it translucent blue as well

got the motor pretty much ready to go in. Got the wrong oil pickup from summit so gotta wait for the right one to get here. Still not sure if ill run the shotgun scoop or not, was gonna turn it backwards if i do and it will sit just inside the firewall and breathe clean air from the cab. Predator carb, edelbrock torker intake, comp cam, je flat top pistons, Boss 429 rods, Stock internal balance crank, Interceptor heads with roller rockers, msd dizzy and dce uprites. this was gonna be the motor for my bronco but since the 521 block and heads didnt turn out  its goin in.  GotMud?  ++peace

picked up some nice 50 inch v treads, got the fuel cell, its all here now. i got 1 problem tho, a design flaw by the original owner. theres 2 big plates welded to the front axel for the lower link bars and they sit lower than the pumpkins, totally kills clearance. great for trenching a field tho lol im gonna post pics later if none of my stuff  or no friends p00 breaks. been a vicious cycle lately i haven't had time to touch the truck. I havent come up with an idea to move the lower link bars that i really like yet. First time messing with four links, if i move em like im thinkin ill have to shorten the link bars as well.

Well i finally got a lili time today to get the motor mounts made. I took a couple stock chevy mounts and drilled some holes so they would bolt to the ford motor, set it in on the stock chevy mounts and it was about 3/4 of an inch off from the stock chevy motors location so i had to cut em off and reweld em to the frame. The chevy mounts worked out pretty good they allowed me to mount the ford motor back a few inches further. Thanks Mick (budman) for the mounts! I also mocked a couple things so i can fab brackets for the orbital valve and steering shaft. Long ways to go yet but should make good progress this week. I added some pics of the front axle front and rear view. I need to relocate the lower link bars they hang way to low  GotMud?

post more pics later. Made a new cross member for under motor to clear the oil pan. Motor and trans bolted together and in truck. made new power steering and alternator brackets. trans cross member will be in tonite.  also hoping to have the  radiator brackets welded in. hoping to get it all plumbed this weekend. Anyone wanna come out and weld in some centers for the v treads there ready to go i got wire/arc welders and the plasma cutter. just need to cut old centers out of rims and weld the new ones that are all prepped into the rims  ++peace  GotMud?

my predator carb was leaking so i had to wait for the rebuild kit to arrive. i borrowed a buddys 750 edelbrock and set the timing bout 7 min in to the cam break in the uprites were glowing. Temp and oil pressure were good. Checked everything with an ifared thermometer and all was good. uprites were around 500 degrees 550 they were glowing. Got my predator carb done threw it on and had to readjust the timing a bit. Got carb adj. About 7 min in glowing uprites again. Gonna pull the plugs and have a look tomorrow see if its real lean. water temp was around 175

Gonna pull her outside tomorrow and bleed the steering lines and finally throw it in gear and take er for a lil ride. Test and tune sunday at my friends place.
