Title: 2005 gm 6.0 ??
Post by: solid 12 on November 25, 2011, 07:29:33 AM
i know nothing about these engines, except that i do know mine has the aluminum heads and i think are called lq4's??  my question is what type of cams are availible for them? i dont want anything radical, just something a step or 2 above stock..a supercharger or turbo is out of my budget loll  i want to also put a cold air intake, a quadzilla stealth 2 programmer and a corsa sport exhaust on it sometime soon

thanks for ANY info on these engines!!

Few issues with the 6.0   theyre known for leaking intake gaskets, intake warpage, computer control problems, especially 2000-2006  always see electrical problems with dashes not working, fuel gauges not working, random misfires and stuff...

Im a gm mechanic and the 6.0 is a great torque engine I agree if you want a cam call com and give them any infor that you can and they will make you a cam fitted to your application kinda pricey though the intake gaskets do go bad but only cause a lean code no fluids in the intakes on these engines they are very durable engines.
