Post by: chevy.jas on December 13, 2011, 03:17:55 AM
What kind of cam are you guys running. I have a 355 with -5 cc flat tops, dart sportsman II heads, victor Jr air gap intake, 750 pro form carb and msd ignition I was running a 555 lift intake and exhaust but me and my buddies think it was a little to big?

my old cam was .560 lift my new one will be about .650-.660 lift  theres alot more to the cam then lift... you can have tons of lift and it wont do you any good with out duration!

I have 555 straight across in my 358 small block you need a stall converter and she will scream. At least mine does I have 456 gears and 40 inch boggers and it will hold 3 gear at 7000 rpm

make sure the cam is set right.. it'll make all the difference in the world, to far advanced or retarded and it'll run like crap!!!
