Title: transmission vaccum modulator

i m curious what it supposed to be when u remove the modulator  , is there a shaft with spring inside it? cuz when i removed mine the shaft seem to be all way in   or something ? then i had  a spare one laying around and i removed it and it had a shaft and seem like was pressured by a spring?   what am i supposed to look for?

on what trans?   

I was told for a 350 turbo if the mod is bad, and you remove it, some fluid can come out.

350.  my point is there anything thats supposed be sticking out or almost sticking out?  when u removed the modulator?

If I run into problems like that or need an answer I go to a parts store and compare old part with new part, that will tell ya what you need to know.

actually the question is on the trans  behind where u put the modulator in .
