Title: Who is good with ford rangers? all fixed.
Post by: Crazymays77 on December 26, 2011, 11:41:55 PM
well i traded the saturn for a 4x4 ford ranger. 1999 with a 4.0 in it. needs some tlc. main thing is the 4x4 doesnt work. the 4wd lights will flash a few times then go out and thats with it in 2wd. so idk what it could be yet. just got home with it so i'll look into it this week. but if anyone knows what it might be let me know thanks.

the lock outs on those 99s are known for going out but they do make a manual lock out hud thats pretty cheap or you can just rig it up like i did with mine

My explorer was doing that and the scanner said something about one the motors or "solenoids" inside the tcase. Best bet is to get yours scanned and know exactly. If its flashing hopefully there is a code saved for ya.  Good luck
