Title: Gears for a 91 Wrangler
Post by: Air Force Fireman on December 28, 2011, 01:42:16 PM
Quick question for everyone. I have a 91 Wrangler project. It has a 4.0 engine. When I'm finished this will be my daily driver and I will also be using it for trailing, a little bit of mudding. I have the stock front axle with 4.10 gears. The rear axle was missing, but I'm getting a dana 35 with 3.54 gears. Obviously I have to change one of the axles. Not sure which one to go with though. I will be running 31s--maybe 33s in the future. No bigger than 33s though. Which choice would you make and why? Any help will be greatly appreciated.  a=f

Oh, it is a 5 speed manual transmission too.

I'd stick with the 4.10
