On those with the 4.6 there are a few common problems. Noone ever does a tune up on them becuase they r known to strip the threads out of the head when trying to remove them also sometimes just from driving the threads break threw and spark plug just rattles around in there if so go to autozone or car quest they sell a repair kit its like a hellicoil kit. But also the coils r for each cylinder they are known to go out everywhere stocks them I think they like like 75 bucks. Maybe try to swap it with one of Ur other coils and see if it helps or go buy one try it if it don't fix it return it lol

it has coils for each side of the motor. ill look at the plugs and see if they are busted.

If its saying misfire its more than likely a coil pack I used to have a 98 f 150 with the 5.4 and I replaced 6 out of the 8head coil packs on that when I had it.

probably coil pack, we had had two go out on are 5.4L. be careful taking plugs out they are very common for taking the treads out of the heads.

I hear there is a lot of problems with the 5.4s. I got a 4.6 that DOES NOT HAVE COIL ON PLUG. There is 2 seperate coils. Ill do a tune up kn it and see if that helps
