Title: 2000 Chevy silverado light questions

I was wondering what's yalls input on them HID lights im looking to get some because im sick of looking at them at night and their great value of blinding people....so just looking for some payback! loll  ==jk but moral of the thread I hear this can burn up your wires or something? Not sure heard many different story's just wanted to see ur guys input  GotMud?

actually they look better w a different headlight with projector in it ....

The fact their lifespan isnt a quarter of what regular headlights are (when comparing their packages) I don't warrant spending the crazy amount of money for them. Nice clear headlight housings make standard ones plenty fine. IMO.

i think the headlights your talking about are the sylvania silverstar or whatever the hell they are called, those are junk. The actual HID headlights that you get come with ballasts and are really easy to instal, they are amazing. Visibilty is through the roof, and they last just as long as any normal headlights. i know tons of guys with them and they never have had one bit of trouble with these lights. I know a few that dont run them in winter tho because they reflect off the snow and can strain your eyes i guess. That dont matter anyways because there is no snow on the ground lol.

Relays and a aftermarket wiring harness would improve your lighting also.

another thing to consider is cleaning your headlight lens if you want visibility. use the mothers headlight restoration kit, works like a charm

Thanks for the info guys I think im going to go with a mid grade HID but still debating
