Title: On a Mission to see the Northern Lights/Aurora Borealis

Ive seen pics. And have always wanted to see them for myself.Anyone know anything about the lights n where in MI would be the best place to view them. I know at times they can be seen from lower MI. any help/pointers would be cool........anyone on here lucked out n seen them ?? where was you ??

I wana say we used to see them in that town north of Hale.... but I dont remember it was probably 13 years ago.

i seen them 1 night about 12 am drunk  was like holy @#$%     had to call home to wake the wife up  to see what was going on  it wasnt clicking  lol   haven't drank much since . and my buddy has passed since     and another just a few lites  nothing as pretty as your pic          only like 3/4 colors  .

seen some a couple years ago at the house  was cold cold and humid out  mid febuary  if i remember right

i seen them a few years back, out backroading on sheridan rd near murphy lk rd, it was in the nw skys & it was quite a lite show,also think it was feb

I did see them once on the west side of the state, just north of grand rapids........several years ago. Wasn't sure what I was seeing, had to call my Dad and ask him LOL. Dad's been gone since '04, so it's been years. Breathtakiing describes them.

i seen then when i was a teenager in hale. we had property there and I went outside around 1 or so and at first i didnt realize what i was seening but it was cool. only time i have seen them

saw them yrs ago was up at burt lake saw them across the lake 2 the north west a the state camp ground  they  are beautiful 2 c

We've seen them ususally during winter w/out leaving our yard. go out behind pole barn by pit and watch them. AMAZING! BEAUTIFUL! But would love to one day go further north and actually see them even closer, brighter, and maybe as good as what this picture is!
