i m curious why people re always avoiding a dana 60 front a dually, how much wider are they? can u just run em just as is ? just curious cuz they seem cheap for the strength.
you can, but the front tires stick out because of the hub, which looks funny to some. get some srw hubs and slap them on there!
i would bet putting big tires on a dually front would have disadvantages too. just like putting a 2 inch spacer on the front. puts alot of extra stress on the kingpins, which take alot, but fail sooner or later
the prices of dana 60s has went down considerably...
Just make sure you have a wide trailer. Don't want 90% of your front tire hanging off the edge not to mention you will need to figure something out with your fenders if they sit higher than the deck.

If yer runnin on road then avoid it. By the time u switch over to srw hubs, u were prob better off $$ wise to just get the srw to begin with. But if its a trailor queen then dually front is fine. But there like 6 inches or so wider

thats what i m thinking i dont mind the look but want the strength... thanks and i wont have problem getting it on my trailer too
I got a dually in my 76 chevy works fine I like it and with the right rims my fronts are not much wider!
I run a dodge dana 60 dually frant with my big block and it has been through some abuse and is still going strong. They are about 4" per side so about 8" total. As far as ruts it doesnt seem to make that much of a differance as u would think jmo. As far as looks, unless u really look at it close or know that it is wider its not that noticeabke.
U shoukd be fine with it i would think.
