I just found out today that I have Polycystic Kidney Disease. I got it from my Moms side of the family in which she has cyst that get so big on her kidneys, that it pushes her lungs into her heart and then bursts putting her in lots of pain, but she is not on dialysis yet. What a future to look forward too knowing that I might have to end up on dialysis, pain, and how long I will go before I can no longer drive truck. That is the cause of my high blood pressure, now I know.

Prayers are with you!
We will take all the prayers we can get. The scariest one is our son. He already has muscular dystrophy, with autism and his liver and kidneys are highly elevated.

This sux! Ya know when God starts screwing over kids like this it really pi**es me off and makes me wonder if God really does exist! My kids have had numerous problems and many trips to the hospital. On a higher note I try to think maybe God has a good reason for this. all in all it still makes me wanna kick the dog (not literally, I don't even own a dog) every time I hear of someone's child having any kind of problems. Anyway, sorry for the ranting on your thread but it just gets me a little worked up.

Well, Yesterday I had another appointment, and found out that I have a bunch of cyst's on my kidneys (TOO NUMEROUS TO COUNT, in exact words) however they are small. The Dr. told me that even though it is a bit of a drive, he wants to send me to U of M. From my under standing, they will inject a needle into my side to the larger cyst on the kidneys and drain them. I have been told they then fill the drained cyst with alcohol, HMMMMM, wonder if I get to pick what flavor loll, JOKING. He did tell me that I should have 15-20 years before needing a transplant. He said that I had it checked out and caught sooner than later so my kidney will live a bit linger than if I had not known however the same cannot be said for my career. This little issue I got is causing my blood pressure to dramatically jump up and down and I am on a very low dosage of blood pressure pills. Apparently, my blood pressure will check in perfect couple times out of the month, and because of those perfect readings, they told me that an any higher dosage of pills could cause it to drop rock bottom and then I guess I could die on the spot. So, I am going to try and get back to work but it will be short lived. I am just going to have to find something else to do that will support a family of six, might have to get some training in on something, not really sure what yet. Well that's it for now, ALL prayers and thoughts are much appreciated and I thank y'all. Oh, and one last thing, if you you have kidney pain or back pain in the area of the kidney's, YA MIGHT WANNA GET IT CHECKED OUT.
