the tilt steering on my 91 xj basically took a dump lol it still works but where ever I lock it in at it has like 2-3'' of play,
ive never torn into a column before other than doing ignition cylinder and just swapping columns, so if anyone has had similar problem how did you fix this other replace whole column?

i just googeled it and theres to dif things it can be one is the pivot pin or 4 screws way deep inside the colum heres sumthing that will prolly help ya

got it done, took about an hour and needed no special tools other than steering wheel puller, hardest part was lining up pin and rod for the highbeam headlight switch but other than that its a lot easier than I thought. thanks for the link :)
