Post by: Crazymays77 on February 09, 2012, 10:03:23 PM

nope only thing i can do is switch the hoses on the heater core so it would flow top to bottom or the other way around. i have been hooking them up bottom inlet top outlet. thats right isnt it? water pump is new as of june when we bought it i put a new one on there.

idk i have the old one in the garage. it has plastic tanks on it and i cant see the leak in it. but the all metal one i just put in there 2 days ago is leaking the worst of them all. it was pouring out this time. i wont know where that one is leaking till i get the replacement on in there but I dont want to put that in until i figure out why it keeps leaking. sick of taking the dash out all the time.

well this time it wasnt the heater core. the heater hoses were not tight on the heater core. it had the spring clamps and they were not strong enough. got it all back together with hose clamps and no leaks. cross your fingers the heater core doesnt leak now lol. thanks guys.

Put on a new rad cap and flush the cooling system. Good call on ditchin those clamps, the spring ones suck. Is the heater box completely free of debris? Good luck on this core, i feel for ya those little foreign cars can be a PAIN!!!
