got a new truck in december, 2012 ram with hemi. when cold started i hear a tick on the passenger side bank,
sounds like a wristpin or piston slap in 4,6, or 8 cylinder. the dealership has it right now and they are saying its a
"characteristic" of the new hemi, well i am not happy as one would expect so i left it there and i am waiting to hear from thier
distict manager. has anyone had any experience with this? and if i were to decide to return the truck it would also effect my credit! so wtf?
that sucks!
tell them chevys dont sound like and got good deals going on ;D ;D they might want to do something then. sucks its a new truck doing it ++peace
I had an 04 with a Hemi and after repeated oil changes and and doing research, I found out that it is normal. Not sure why they would make them so noisy but mine sounded like all the lifters were loose.
sorry to hear sounds like bs to me my boss took his new chevy back and had it redone at dealer thats all i know its under warrenty.
Its a lifter tick every dodge I have owned, friends, and family have owned do it not a big deal nothing to worry about
