So, the Blazer steering needs some tweaking. Just not sure the problem yet.
Sometimes it will be real hard to steer. Sometimes a little throttle will help, other times now.
Kind of confusing.
I am aiming towards it needing more capacity in the reservoir. I am running the stock power steering pump and a 2x10 ram.
more oil is always good weld a peice of 3/4 tube to the filler add a reservoir on the inner fender or wherever ive always been told ya should have 1 1/2 times the volume of the cylinder as a reservoir but im no expert either ==ha

here u go ken and everyone i tried it and it made my steering like a dream i can steer with my pinkie finger
I already have the spring stretch done.
I think I have enough pressure. When it turns, it's effortless. I don't think it's pressure that's causing me problems.
I really think I am running out of fluid when the ram is extending.
then u prolly need a reservior ... like i do
do you have a cooler? mabye its getting hot... I used a bbc pump and it worked great?

What did you use? You just plumb it between the pump and the cylinder?

No cooler. But it was 28 degrees yesterday and it was doing it as soon as I started to drive it.
i use some sorta less a gallon i know too much but thats what i had at the time ... like old gas tank and i just plumped it above my reservior making it like another reservior
IF YOUR RUNNIN A STOCK POWERSTEERING PUMP TAKE THE MAIN LINE OFF THE BACK TAKE THE NUT OFF AND DRILL THE PORT OUT ...LETS IT FLOW WAY MORE FLUID THE ORIGINAL HOLE IS SMALLER THAN A PENCIL TIP ..I HAD THE SAME ISSUE WITH MINE AND THIS SOLVED IT
You can drill out all stock pumps and it will work? Ford, Chevy dodge, jeep, any?
i dont see why one style would work and one would not but cant say forsure on that
Ok, I was just asking bc I read the thread about the mod and it said for Chevy and jeep. So didn't know if the rest couldn't be done like that.
i used the hydro boost pump didnt drill it out it will squeal att full turn sometimes iff i keep turnin the wheel past lock it will also i think about everyones setup will vary on what needs modified or tweaked here and there to make it work just right ++peace

if ford come out like picture then i say why not
larger cylinder ken, pick up a larger cylinder like a 3" or 4" and you'll double your power.
