I'm going to look at new cars while home. I want to get something before summer. I want a mid level optioned V6. What are your guys take? Mustang is out, no fords for me. lol
CHEVY ALL THE WAY!!!!
camaro all the way the 306 horses is under rated for what's actually there with the 6's... and the 8's... yee-ha!!
depends on the year, dodge just came out with a 3.6 for the challenger, i think it had something along the lines of 305 hp / 270 tq or so. i'd personally go for the challenger, but the camaro is also a wayyy sharp car, tough choice really.
im kinda on both with the mustang and the camaro.. the v6 mustang is pushing over 300 horse power and gets good gas mileage but they have front end problems.. the camaro is 100 horse power less for the stick then the auto when it comes to the v8s only tho kinda see that as a fail dumped the clutch n a new ss at work and only spun the tires for 3 feet lol but i would go with the challenger
I still want a Magnum SRT-8 ==roll but given the choices I'd pick the Challenger its more user friendly and probably better on gas with the 6.
But on the other hand.. Camaro gets the looks.
You will probably catch more p00 for having a v6 in the camaro than you would in the challenger also ==roll
if i was buying i would drive both of them, just to see if one stands out over the other.
Umm im a chevy guy but im liking the new challengers...
I think the challengers look sharp but the camaro is ==awesome
Camaro...even the SS pushes like a dump truck (and heavy as one too!). It's an ill handling pig out of the box. I haven't driven the Challenger yet, but I know it's heavy too.
whatever you choose, please get a v8
buy the dodge and never drive it cause it will be broke like all mopars! lmao camaro all the way but if your going to buy a v6 hot rod why not buy a mini van?

damn right, id take the srt8 magnum too, i've always liked the wagon! but all in all, i voted for the challenger after thinking about it for a bit, the new 3.6 is supposed to contend with the camaro, so i dont see the HP being a difference, maybe its because i've seen a bunch of younger kids driving the newer camaros, i'm sure they're not theres, but you never know lol. and on the other hand, i've seen quiet a few ladies driving the challengers,,lol

i take it you haven't driven one?? or at least not in the past 20 years? drive a 2010 ls all the time and for a v6 it's fast it's rated at 306 horses and has more than that,

CAMARO ALL THE WAY. The newest high feature v-6 for the Camaro is going to be pushing 320hp and if you go with the auto it has the best sport tuned trans. The Challenger and the mustang both have a very lazy auto trans that takes away from the "Fun Factor". While the Mustang is the lightest of the group, the Challenger definitely has the fattest a$$ weighing in at 4260lbs compared to the Camaro at 3891lbs. And you can definitely feel the wait difference especially with a v-6. When it comes to looks, that is obviously a personal preference but in my humble opinion the Camaro wins hands down. Sharp, edgy, and just plain mean looking. I love the look. But that's just my 2 cents.
I have a 2012 Camero with the v6. 324 hp, I also got the 6 speed stick. It's a rocket.

Drove a 2012 SS. Turns like a pig. Sorry, but I ran it HARD into some turns and it didn't. No opinion here, fact. I wanted to like it, but it needs work to make it handle. That's all I was saying.
my grandpa camaro is sick its the v8 a very sharp car!
I would drive both and go from there but I would be getting a stick no matter which car you get
Thanks for all the opinions. I have drove a 2011 Camaro and it felt good. I will drive both when I'm home. I'm going with a V6 and automatic for sure. It's going to my main transportation in the good weather months. With frequent long trips.

I think you might wanna take some driving lessons or something. I have driven an SS around Gingerman and it handled very well. Especially for a bone stock road car. It kept up with my buddies CMC car with no trouble at all

Probably just a difference in handling tastes. He races a saturn loll ;D
i think challenger looks sweet, rather have a mustang tho camaro is my last choice

Yeah, that must be it. We can't all be superstars.

lol. i like flintpunk. good response
on a side note, a friend of a friend owns a new challenger and new camaro, both v8's, and he said the camaro is faster by a car length and rides better.
From consumers reports
^ there ya go. Turbo the challenger v6 and your all set ;D loll
I'm a chevy man and it would be the camaro all day

Definitely was boasting the car not my"Super Stardom". Wasn't saying I am the next Michael Andretti just that I felt the car handled very well.
chevy for life, but camaros are like ass holes, everyone has them. get the charger and put chevy power in it ;)

Yeah, so that's why I need driving lessons? The demonstration cars that GM brought to our test facility last fall handled like p00. Just sayin'. You have no idea about my level of experience, so maybe you should refrain from judgement.

I love the challenger, but I only drove the V6 camaro, get the auto with paddle shifters, that way if you want to run down that rustang and wait for him at the next light you can. I was all smiles with them, and the power to weight ratio with the V6 is nil, it'll still throw you back in the seat when you nail it.
I dont care for the lack of visibility out of tje camaro

I work at GM so I would have to buy a camaro before the challenger any day!
Im a HUGE Camaro fan but I HATE the new looks of that Camaro. I would go with the charger, challenger myself. Looks why bad ass. Again just my opinion.
I have a 2010 SS camaro and love it 426hp and as far as that guy saying it will only burnout for 3 feet the traction control was probably on. even with my traction control on if im rolling about 10 mph and floor it, it wants to go sideways on me.
