Ive had this truck for a decent lil while now, but figured Id post it on here. Hasn't hit the pavement in a few months for obvious reasons, so I cant wait til the nice weather hits again and I can get er out and tear up some local pavement....need new tires first lol.
Its a '86 S-10 2wd with a 327 small block Chevy stuffed into it. 10:1 compression flat tops, roughly 400hp to the rear tires (havent got it on the dyno yet, but plannin on it this spring). TH350 3spd and GM 10blt rear 4:10 geared and spool. She's a fun little truck to drive, way more interesting on wet pavement ;)
She sits on 17x10 KMC Stealth rims and some now bald rubber lol.
Here's a couple videos of "White Lightnin" in action.

Yep the first gens are the best gens in my book.
I can't wait to get her back out n tear up some asphalt with her again. Aint nothin quite like runnin from the 5-0 in this bad beast
All these pics were taken before some cosmetics were done to it. Euro turn signal housings, new low profile outside rearview mirrors (better than having one fugly elephant ear mirror), new door pins and weatherstripping on the doors, and a new roll pan. Not to mention a new f***in windshield thanks to a hellaciously windy t-storm and a loose mounted 2x4 over top the truck.
Honestly, I'm thinkin about getting a chrome first gen rear bumper and puttin it on, cuz as it turns out I'm not a big fan of the roll pan look. And while I'm at it, gonna get a new chrome front bumper without those ugly impact strip mounting holes. I got plenty of plans for it.....but not enough dough to get it done at the moment.
nice truck 4 sure, tear'n up aiken rd i see....

Hell yeah man. Every day this truck is out it leaves a new mark (or handful of marks) on that road and all roads nearby lol. Vandekarr has seen a few donuts from it, as well as Lyons Rd. Gotta keep the 5-0 fuzzies on their toes lol.
More recent pics....taken the first day gettin it back out on the road after givin the wheels a good shinin
==kp s10's rule ;D
Hey can I borrow it for a weekend? it will come home with full tank and new rear tires.

Lol it already is in dire need of new rear tires. Showin steel cords all the way around - still does burnouts but leaves absolutely no evidence of it, except for seriously scratched up pavement hahaha
Hidin her from the cops right now. Had a pretty f***in crazy last couple days...we'll just leave it at that hahaha. Back tires are still holding air, surprising as h3ll to say the least.
I got a garage! leave the keys and i will put gas and tires on her..

Well lets just say p00 got pretty crazy those two days. A couple cases of BL Platinum, a 5th of good ol Jack Daniels and a couple crazy ass buddies made for some interesting eventful overnight hours.

Thats bc I cant find a damn job in this p00 hole town to get money to put into getting it road worthy again. The rear tires dont even hold air any more, and when aired up they go flat within an hour.....not drivin it like that.
And if you havent seen it around since Steve owned it, you were never out. Because I drove it all over the place when I got it on the road. I only stopped driving it about a month before the first snow of last winter.
==beer nice ride
Thanks man.
Very soon she'll be back tearin up the roads just like the good ol' days....at least for a week or so, until the snow starts to fall. Finally got a paycheck comin in again, so I'll be buyin her some new shoes, freshenin up the engine and doin some interior work to her.
Those rear tires now hold air for maybe a total of 15 minutes. The rear left tire in the above pic went flat after just 10 minutes of being aired up and moved. These tires have seen maybe a few too many burnouts haha
Is this ever gonna see more ashpault than the front of your house kevi????
Nice s10
