What kind of metal did you use?
I think it was 14 Ga. its about .050 to .060 thick. Tig welds nice, heavy enough not to warp.

quick question... I wanna lift my 90 k1500 about 40 inches. its got a 6 inch suspension and 3 inch body lifts. with 35 inch tires. I know I need to do a straight axle swap but dont know what type of straight axle to use. I have been looking at the 40" extended, 17" travel Bilstein 9100 Series smooth body shock with the resevoir. I know I can do that rear end and fabricate my own rear traction, and front traction bars for the axle housings. I just dont understand to much with the front having to swap to a straight axle... information will be greatly appreciated!
