Title: 1993 bonneville code 44

Ok my car missed a couple times then surged a few times now it pops code 44, looked it up and i get "44 - Oxygen Sensor Circuit ( Lean Exahust Indicated )" meaning get a new sensor or what? and would the oxygen sensor make it surge?

lean exhaust usually means:  restricted fuel filter, vacuum leak, plugged injector.    Lean means more air than fuel. needs more fuel to run in the proper a/f ratio.     start it up and spray around the intake with starter fluid, if it stumbles and hesistates, revs up or stalls out, you got a vacuum leak.  being a 93 i wouldnt be too surprised if your vacuum lines are deteriorated.
