I am on day seven of a gluten free diet. I am self diagnosing myself with celiac disease. Anybody else dealing with being gluten free?
Celiac disease is genetic, I have the majority of the symptoms and my niece and grandmother have it. If you eat gluten, your small intestine is damaged and you are unable to absorb nutrients. Which explains half the problems I've had my whole life.
I'm possitive now....after only a week I have more energy and no stomach aches :)
I have some awesome recipes and info for anybody going through this. It's a very hard diet. Gluten= wheat and that's in everything....
sweet you finally found out that you needed the diet, i need to diet aswell im sure the doctors would tell me "your going to die at 30" but my dad was the same weight as me and he is over 50.
My son was diagnosed with having allergies to wheat, nut, soy, dairy, egg, and numerous other outdoor allergies when he was a year old. Kroger has a really good health food/ gluten free section. Meijer and walmart are both getting better also. We don't have to worry as much anymore as our little man has been outgrowing a lot of the allergies now, wheat being the latest and he turned 4 in Dec. Good luck it sounds Ilike you're headin in the right direction!
I've been seeing that on Facebook. Glad to hear your felling better!

Good to hear that he's growing out of them. That's a very hard diet! Dairy is in everything as well. Good luck to u and thank u for the advice. I found a ton of gluten free at meijer last night. I'm pretty happy with what I got.

I removed wheat/gluten from my diet and I feel like it has changed my life. I have lost weight with no effort, no more stomach issues and I think better.
I read this book when I was frustrated with stomach issues all my life. Then tried it. I won't go back to wheat.

I think I'm over the withdrawls. I get dizzy though lol. There are so many reasons to go gluten free even if you don't have celiac disease. Keep it up :) I hope this will be a life long change for me..

Is that winona? I know you said that you had stomach problems. I'm betting you have some kind of digestive disorder. Or celiac disease. Could you live without frozen pizza? Lol its not fun. But I still just make mine from a gluten free bisquik box.
wheat withdrawals? life without frozen pizza?
Definitely had some wheat withdrawas but I have never had withdraws before so I didn't know why I was feeling so weird lol but they are gone now and I don't want the stuff anymore. I would rather make homemade pizza. The lack of convince sucks...that's about it. Oh and I miss breading for chicken and fried foods lol
